Without the clear identification of cables and wires, unplanned repairs and regular maintenance can become time-consuming and in some cases a dangerous undertaking. Professional cable markers are indispensable for error-free, cost-optimized operation and quick troubleshooting.
The WIC series from HellermannTyton clearly demonstrates the extent to which a permanent marking sleeve can support cable management in electrical installations. Mark everything with one click
Available in four different sizes, cables with a diameter of 0.8 mm to 5.3 mm can be perfectly marked with the pre-printed WIC markers. A simple click with the help of the ergonomically designed WIC tool is enough and the designation is already firmly in place. Click here for the different sizes and colours.
Simply insert the marker into the tool, press the first marker onto the cable, twist it and apply the next marker. After all markers have been applied to the cable, push them together until the locks on the sides of the markers click into place. If no tools are at hand, assembly can just as easily be done by hand.

Once the individual markers have been snapped into one another, the characters are in perfect alignment. Due to high tension, the cable markers can withstand even strong vibration. To allow fast assembly and avoid confusing sizes, carriers are available in different colours, depending on the marker size:
- WIC0 (for cable diameters of 0.8 to 2.2 mm) in green
- WIC1 (for cable diameters of 2.0 to 2.8 mm) in red
- WIC2 (for cable diameters of 2.8 to 3.8 mm) in blue
- WIC3 (for cable diameters of 4.3 to 5.3 mm) in yellow

Everything at a glance
It will be familiar to every technician from day-to-day work in electrical installation: you must be able to identify components at a glance, and recognize wiring parameters and how they are assigned without resorting to plans or having to search through handbooks. It goes without saying that HellermannTyton also had this clearly in mind when we developed WIC. The markers are not only available in individual sizes but also in yellow or white, as well as in the colours of the international resistance colour code.
Pre-printed WIC markers are available with numbers, letters, number-letter combinations such as L1, L2, L3 and graphics. If the customer wishes, individual graphics, lettering or codes can also be printed on the markers. As a result of this highly structured coding, mix-ups are almost impossible.
Quality brings with it a commitment: high-quality material for cable markers
Markers in the WIC series from HellermannTyton also demonstrate clearly our commitment to premium quality. They are made from the extremely robust plastic Polyamide 6.6 (PA66). The operating temperature of these pre-printed cable markers ranges from -40° C to +85° C, and even for short periods up to 105° C (fire protection properties UL94 V0).

In addition to the actual cable markers and application tool, we also offer just the right accessories to increase your application options. With the WICA-AC10-25 identification clip, up to eight markers can be fixed to cables of up to 25mm². The clip is simply attached to the cable and snapped in place.
With the WICA-ACT adapter set it is possible to easily identify large cables with a diameter of up to 95 mm² . The adapter set has up to eight cable markers and is simply applied to the cable using a cable tie. Both accessories are suitable for the sizes WIC0, WIC1 and WIC2.
